Uganda's main LGBTQ rights organization is Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG), founded in by Victor Mukasa. Frank Mugisha is the executive director and the winner of both the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award and the Rafto Prize for his work on behalf of LGBTQ rights in Uganda.
